Educational Seminar on Oman in Moscow

 

In August, an educational seminar dedicated to the Sultanate of Oman was held at our Moscow office. The event generated great interest among the participants and marked another step in promoting the destination in the Russian market.

The seminar program included:

  • A detailed presentation of Oman by representatives of the Oman Tourism Office in Russia.
  • A presentation by a representative of Oman Air about their flights.
  • A presentation by the leaders of Oman Airports, who shared their plans to increase the number of direct flights from Russia to Oman, including to Salalah.

All participants received the necessary materials and expressed their gratitude for the informative program. The seminar once again confirmed the growing interest of the Russian tourism market in Oman as a unique and promising destination.

Webinar: "Sultanate of Oman: What You Need to Know Before the High Season" 

 

As part of our collaboration with partners, we held a webinar titled "Sultanate of Oman: What You Need to Know Before the High Season" with Oman Air and Sletat.ru. The live stream was viewed by 100 people, and the recording is now available on the Sletat Academy Rutube channel.

The webinar consisted of two parts:

  • Part 1: Oman Air Flight Program, presented by Margarita Polyakova.
  • Part 2: A detailed presentation of Oman by our expert, accompanied by the "Experience Oman" video. 

During the webinar, agents actively asked questions, shared their experiences, and expressed their gratitude for the useful information.

 Business Breakfast in Oman with Ambotis Holidays in Moscow 

This month, we also held a business breakfast and an educational seminar with the tour operator Ambotis Holidays in the center of Moscow.

Ambotis Holidays has been operating in the Russian market since 1993. Initially, the company specialized only in Greece, but over time, it expanded its destinations to include Oman, the UAE, India, Vietnam, and others. The company has been selling tours to Oman for the past 2.5 years.

The seminar was attended by:

  • Elena Seifert, Oman Tourism Office in Russia — detailed presentation of the Oman destination.
  • Leila Valieva, representative of Ambotis Holidays Russia — presentation of the company and tours to Oman.
  • Konstantin Yakushev, representative of Shangri-La Group — overview of Shangri-La Al Husn, Barr Al Jissah, Al Bandar, and Al Waha Resorts.

The seminar was attended by more than 15 leading travel agencies from Moscow, Kazan, and St. Petersburg.

The event also featured an official video from the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Tourism of Oman.

The seminar was a success, with agents actively asking questions and showing high interest.

August in Oman: FAM Trip with PETERTUR

 

In August, a discovery tour (FAM-trip) was launched with the team of the tour operator PITERTUR. The program includes key locations, as well as an introduction to the culture and traditions of the country, which makes the trip especially valuable.

The group is currently actively visiting historical and natural attractions, exploring local cuisine and traditions, and evaluating the level of service in the country's leading hotels.

The participants have praised the high level of organization, the well-thought-out itinerary, and the comfort:

  • the best hotels and comfortable transfers;
  • Russian-speaking guides and attentive drivers;
  • a rich cultural and natural program.

The FAM trip is supported by the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Tourism of Oman and the Oman Tourism Office in Russia.

 Oman through the Eyes of the Press: Key August Materials

This month, two new articles about Oman were published in Russian travel publications, highlighting the relevance of the destination for tourists and industry professionals.

TravelTime magazine published an article titled "Oman: The Land of a Thousand Wonders," which explores the country's tourism potential, regional features, cultural attractions, and unique resorts. This article will be useful for tour providers seeking to cater to customers seeking new travel destinations.

The second article was published in the Azimut magazine and provides detailed information about the advantages of Oman for Russian tourists, including the combination of nature and comfort, safety, well-developed infrastructure, gastronomy, and convenient flight schedules. The article is also useful for travel industry professionals when consulting clients.
