Oman Air is extending the popular Moscow-Muscat-Moscow flight for the summer period to provide year-round flights between the two capitals. Based on the demand for the route and the growing demand between Russia and Oman, the airline will offer passengers up to three weekly flights from May to September, supplementing its winter schedule, which runs up to six flights per week from October to April.
H.E. Mr. Saeed Al Mawali, Minister of Transport, Communications and Information Technology and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Oman Air, said: "The introduction of summer flights marks the return to year-round flights to Moscow, strengthening Oman Air's presence on this key route and emphasizing the importance of the Russia-Oman corridor for tourism, trade and cultural exchange".
Con Corfiatis, CEO of Oman Air, added: "Moscow has established itself as a highly efficient route in our network, and its year-round operation will allow us to meet growing demand while reaching a wider market. The introduction of summer flights into the schedule supports the route network, enhances opportunities for transit passengers, connecting Russia with various destinations in the Middle East, Asia-Pacific region and Africa through Muscat, and also provides the Russian market with more opportunities to explore Oman."
In May and June, flights between Moscow and Muscat will be operated on Tuesdays and Saturdays, and from July to September - on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. The route uses the latest generation B737 MAX8 aircraft in a two—class layout - business and economy.
Passengers will be able to get to Muscat from Moscow on a direct, convenient flight now and during the summer, enjoying the famous Omani hospitality and the award-winning Oman Air service!
